The Baby Kraken Wakes!

The Baby Kraken Wakes!
This began with an incredible dead juniper, all one piece, lying bear-torn on the ground on Whitefish bay, and became a Northern Georgian Bay take on The Kraken Wakes (by John Wyndham). Instead of the giant undersea alien space invader in Wyndham’s book, this Baby Kraken lives and plays in the GreatLakes, and loves to grab at shiny things, as babies do.
Wyndham’s book was written during the cold war era. This kraken roams out there now, during the era of the climate-crisis awakening, where, while we desperately hope there’s a solution, it is often our nature to keep on putt-putting along. (Kraken comes from Norwegian legend.)
