Arctic Musicians
This sculpture is based on the German fable, and Grimm's Fairy tale, of "The Bremen-Town Musicians".
In this rendition, they are not farm animals, but residents of the Arctic.
Here, they have climbed on each others' backs, not to frighten away robbers, as in the original fable, but to stand against those who have taken over the landscape and the sea for fracking and oil extraction. I like to imagine this as a life-size monument.
